The Answers

Everything you might want to know before joining us at RESONATE Cape Town — from tickets and parking to accessibility and where to eat.

What is RESONATE about?
For those who produce podcasts, the goal of RESONATE is to help improve your craft in record time. For those who listen to podcasts or just love art, RESONATE is here to educate and entertain you.
I'm new to podcasting, is this for me?
RESONATE is for anyone who wants to learn more about podcasting. There are two main venues, including one specifically for people who want to learn or build and refine their skills. Workshops will take different forms and will be facilitated by both local and international audio practitioners.
What does my ticket include?
Two days of workshop sessions and our Pitch Party. Live performances. Complimentary access to the closing party. Some light snacks. Different spaces and activities to connect with your podcasting peers.
What's your refund policy?
All RESONATE ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
Where should I park?
The venue does not have dedicated parking and is in the business district, where parking can be limited and costly. We suggest taking Uber, or walking if you're staying nearby.
What are your accessibility policies?

All areas of the venue are accessible, with the exception of the Avalon Auditorium and Rooftop. However, we will provide headphones so attendees can listen wherever they are. There is a convenient drop-off zone located in the loading bay in front of the building for easy access. Please note that the venue does not have dedicated parking. Guests may park either on the street or at Harrington Square, both of which are managed by the City of Cape Town at a fee.

Where should I eat?

If you're looking for dining options aside from the food stalls in the venue, Radio Workshop's Executive Producer has you covered. He shared some of his favourite places to take people when he wants to show them what Cape Town is really about.

Why haven't you listed AIRBNB in your 'Plan Your Visit' page?
Like many cities around the world, Cape Town has experienced housing issues linked to short-term rentals. Even though we've chosen not to feature Airbnb in our recommendations, we encourage you to make the choices that work best for you.
How do you sign up for sessions?
Sessions are first-come, first-served. However, headphones will be available, allowing people to listen to sessions that may already be at capacity.
My question wasn't answered here. How can I reach you?
Prior to the festival, please email us at mathapelo@radioworkshop.org. If you have any questions while on-site during the event, please go to the Homecoming Centre front desk for information.
