About the Festival
Celebrating the art of audio
storytelling
After four years of sold-out festival runs in Richmond, Virginia, for the first time in its history, RESONATE Podcast Festival is coming to Africa. Curated by RESONATE founder Chioke l'Anson at The Institute for Contemporary Art at VCU, in partnership with Radio Workshop, RESONATE Cape Town will bring together big names in audio from around the world.

The Venue
The Homecoming Centre
We're taking over the Homecoming Centre - a complex with two beautifully appointed theatres in the heart of Cape Town's city centre. The Homecoming Centre is one of Cape Town's most meaningful spaces - part of the District Six precinct, with a rich cultural history.
Happening at the Same Time
Not just audio,
but art
The festival coincides with the Investec Cape Town Art Fair 2027, Africa's largest contemporary art event. Held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, the art fair is just minutes from the Homecoming Centre, hosting 100+ global exhibitors and attracting 30,000+ art lovers to the city.

PLANNING
YOUR TRIP
Our biggest piece of advice: buy your flights and book your accommodation early. Mid-February is peak summer - think beaches, sunshine, and warm evenings - and Cape Town fills up fast. We've put together a visitor guide with accommodation recommendations, things to do, tour suggestions, insider tips, and everything you need to help you escape winter elsewhere in the world and turn this into a holiday.
